SOLIDWORKS Plastics teaches you how to use specialized simulation software tools to predict how melted plastic flows during the injection molding process. Predicting how the plastic will flow enables you to predict manufacturing defects such as weld lines, air traps, short shots, and sink marks. By predicting these defects, you can change the part or mold geometry, the processing conditions, or the plastic material itself to eliminate or minimize them, saving energy, material, time, and money. The SOLIDWORKS Plastics course covers all the features and functions of both SOLIDWORKS Plastics Professional (for part designers) and SOLIDWORKS Plastics Premium (for mold designers).
SOLIDWORKS CAM Professional
This course teaches you how to use the SOLIDWORKS CAM Professional software to machine parts utilizing advanced functionality such as: CAM or SOLIDWORKS configurations, VoluMill™, mill machining in the context of an assembly, and 3 plus 2 machinings. Additionally, the course teaches how to generate, modify, and post-process 2 axis turning tool paths used for the machining of SOLIDWORKS part files.
Prerequisites: Experience with the SOLIDWORKS design software.
Experience with the Windows® operating system.
Completion of SOLIDWORKS CAM Standard training class.
Length: 2 days
SOLIDWORKS CAM Standard teaches you how to use the SOLIDWORKS CAM Standard software to generate, modify, and post-process 2.5 axis milling tool paths used for the machining of SOLIDWORKS part files.
Prerequisites: Experience with the SOLIDWORKS design software.
Experience with the Windows® operating system.
Length: 2.5 days
SOLIDWORKS Weldments Course
Weldments teaches you how to create welded structures with standard structural
members. Weld beads are also covered.
Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials
Length: 1 day
SOLIDWORKS Sheet Metal Course
Sheet Metal and Weldments teaches you how to build sheet metal parts using SOLIDWORKS mechanical design automation software. Building standalone sheet metal parts, and converting conventional parts to sheet metal, including in assembly context, are covered.
Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials
Length: 2 days
Mold Design Using SOLIDWORKS
Mold Design Using SOLIDWORKS teaches you several manual mold creation techniques and how to use the Mold Tools in SOLIDWORKS mechanical design automation software.
Prerequisites: Advanced Part Modeling
Length: 2 days
SOLIDWORKS Inspection Course
Learn the basics of working with SOLIDWORKS Inspection to automate the process of working with inspection documents. In this course, you will work with both the add-in and standalone versions of the product.
Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials
Length: 1/2 day
SOLIDWORKS MBD Course
The goal of this course is to teach you how to use SOLIDWORKS MBD to present product and manufacturing information (PMI) in a 3D PDF file. This includes the use of DimXpert and annotation views combined with the capturing and publishing of 3D views.
Length: 1 day
